Mass is one of the base quantities in SI system of units which is measured in kilogram and denoted by kg.

The beam balance or top-pan balance is used to measure the mass of a body.

The mass of an elephant is approximately 5 tonnes, the approximate mass of an adult is 70kg. From an electron to the moon, planets, stars, galaxy and even the universe has its mass.
