Examples

• The direction of a ball can be changed by bouncing it on a wall.

• In cricket, a bat is used to change the direction of the ball.

3. Forces can Change the Size or Shape of the objects.

When two or more forces are applied to a solid object, they can cause the object to change their shape and size.

Examples

• A rubber band can be stretched

• An empty can will change its shape on applying force on it.

• A sponge can be squeezed easily.
